Live polls inside your PowerPoint, Google Slides or Keynote

Keep your slides. Add the room.

Every Nabad session has a room screen link: the question you are on, the join code and QR, and the results as they come in, with no buttons on it. Put it on a slide in PowerPoint, or one click away in Google Slides and Keynote, and it follows your questions as you move through them. Eighty-six languages, no app, no account.

Before you start

Copy your room screen link

Do this once per session, on the laptop you present from. The same link works in all three tools.

1

Open the presenter view

From your dashboard, press “Present” on the session you will run.

2

Press the screen icon

In the top bar, the button labelled “Embed in PowerPoint or Teams” shows your room screen link.

3

Copy the link

It belongs to this session and does not expire, so you can set up your deck the day before.

Step by step

Three tools, one link

PowerPoint can show a live web page inside a slide. Google Slides and Keynote cannot, so there the room screen opens one click away, in full screen, and you switch back when you are done.

Live on the slide

PowerPoint

  1. Choose Insert, then Get Add-ins. Search for Web Viewer and add it to your slide.
  2. Paste your room screen link into the Web Viewer box. If the box already starts with https://, paste the rest of the link after it.
  3. Stretch the box to fill the slide and start the slide show. The results move on the slide while people answer.
One click from the slide

Google Slides

  1. Type a short line on your slide, such as Live results, and select it.
  2. Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac), paste your room screen link and apply.
  3. In the slide show, click the line. The room screen opens in a new tab: make it full screen, and come back to your slides when you are done.
One click from the slide

Keynote

  1. Select a line of text or a shape on your slide.
  2. Choose Format, then Add Link, then Webpage, and paste your room screen link.
  3. Click it while the slideshow plays. The room screen opens in your browser: make it full screen, then press Cmd+Tab to go back to Keynote.

Presenting in Microsoft Teams?

In the meeting chat or a channel, add a Website tab with the + button, paste the same room screen link, then share that tab. Everyone in the call sees the room screen.

On the screen

What your slide shows

The room screen shows what the room needs to see, and nothing you would not put on a projector.

The question you are on

It follows your presenter view. Move to the next question and the slide moves with you.

How to join

The six-digit code and a QR code stay on screen, so people join straight from your slide.

Results as they arrive

Bars, word clouds, ratings and Q&A update live, with every language added into one result.

Nothing to hide

No buttons, no sign-in, no AI insights. While you hide the results, the screen shows none.

Common questions

Nabad in your slides, answered

Can people join from the slide?

Yes. The room screen shows the six-digit code and a QR code. People scan it from the slide and answer on their phone, in their own language.

Can someone with the link control my session?

No. The link only shows what the phones in the room already see. Moving between questions, hiding results and ending the session stay in your presenter view, which needs your login.

Does the link expire?

No. It belongs to one session, so you can put it in your deck ahead of time. When the session ends, the screen stops showing questions.

Do I need a paid plan to embed?

No. The screen icon is in the presenter view on every plan, including the free one.

Why do Google Slides and Keynote open a new tab?

Neither can show a live web page inside a slide. PowerPoint can, through the Web Viewer add-in, so it is the only one of the three where the results move on the slide itself.

Do people need an app or an account?

No. They join in any browser with the six-digit code, the QR code or a link. No download, no sign-up, no email address. Only the host needs an account.
